Last night was my last night in my apartment in Odéon (Saint Germain in Paris) and after packing my last things the wise thing for me would have been to get some sleep to be well prepared for the final moving to Vincennes today. But I couldn’t resist the temptation of going out partying (even though the last time I went to Montana was the night before….). Around midnight I met up my friends at Montana and danced like never before. Living only 5 minutes of walk to Montana has been almost the best part living in Saint Germain :-) Later we took a taxi to LeBaron for even more partying and some Baron cocktails. If you ever go to Baron you should order their signature cocktail…the Baron ;-) Heavinly delicous, j’adore! It’s a mix of champagne, vodka and sweet strawberries.
I guess the best period of exploring Jardin des Tuileries in Paris must be in the Autoumn, I love how the light is shining through the soon-to-be-bare trees and the beautiful leaves that covers the ground.
I’m totally in love with the ricotta & figues and chestnut gelato @ the Italian gelato bar GROM in Paris. Yesterday I went for a cup of gelatoand on top of that their heavenly delicious chantilly…j’adore! The guy in the gelato bar knows all about my passionate relation to their gelatos and when I finished my first cup he was so nice and offered me another cup and I picked pistachio…God I could be sitting there forever..and just eat gelato..day after day…what a pleasure :-)
Status update: Good news! My friend Lisa just sold her apartment in Vincennes and she gave me the opportunity to rent it until x-mas :-) (Thanks Lisa!!!) I have to leave my apartment in St Germain now on Sunday so I will be moving then. Vincennes is a town in the eastern side of Paris, seemed to be very beautiful and calm when I was there yesterday. There is also a French royal castle from the 14th and 17th century which makes the town even more historical and exciting to live in. It’s also close to Bois de Vincennes so I will have no difficulties to continue with my regular powerwalks ;-)
Thank God there are plenty of bistro’s in Paris open till late at night when you suddenly urge for some home-made French fries and home-made desserts such as Crème brulée and Apple flarn with ice-cream…..For the first time ever in the life-history of Solli I couldn’t finish my dessert..the Crème brulée was really in size XXL ;-)
A few days ago me and a friend of mine went for the Russia meets US exhibition at the Door Studios in Paris. They had a Russian contemporary art exposition, studio photo “Russia meets US” by Wrangler and artworks by the bloggers Adeline Mai, Jseb Deligny, Fortune, KO.Fashion and Thomas Humery and live music by Wagner. Nice evening, people and music :-)

It has passed almost two weeks since Fashion Week took place in Paris, I took some streetstyle pictures outside Christian Dior’s fashionshow, Victor & Rolf and Jean-Paul Gaultier and here you can see some photos from fashion parties at VIP ROOM and Montana. I won’t be able to publish all the hundreds of pictures I took during the Paris Fashion Week but here are some more highlights:
A few days ago while strolling in my quartier Saint Germain I discovered the famous chocolatier Pierre Marcolini‘s recently opened boutique at 89 rue de Seine. It was closed so I couldn’t go in but it sure was tempting seeing these delicious creations in the vitrine without having the possibilty to taste.
A few days ago when I passed by the Italian gelato bar GROM I had a cup with the flavors Glazed chestnuts and Ricotta & figues (this months limited flavor), and as always it was a heavenly experience! Too bad Ricotta & figues is not on their regular menu :-(
Paris is well-known for it’s beautiful and magical light and I knew about it before I came here; I just didn’t know it would put a spell on me. Each time I see the sky shifting colours I put everything I have on my mind aside and just stare at the sky. Sometimes I snap a photo, sometimes I just seize the moment. I’m happy Paris shares everything with me ;-)

Only one week left at work before I finish and then I don’t know what I’m going to do after. Have never been this confused so I had to go and do some brainstorming about my future with my friend. We went for some cocktails at Le Café de Flore, almost across the street from where I live, and discussed future, dreams and future. Before I knew what I wanted to do…now I’m not sure anymore. I guess we all get to those points in life. The nightclubMontana is nextdoor with Le Café de Flore and I’m impressed I didn’t go there for drinks and partying afterwards. A golden star to me :-) I have to concentrate on my future right now even though I’m totally out of motivation…..and everything is so boring. Perhaps I can find motivation at Montana? ;-) or not…
