Let me introduce you to Posh Living, an interior design boutique situated in the new department-store called MOOD in Stockholm. When I was there last weekend I totally fell in love with these cute cups with butterflies on, aren’t they adorable? Simple things with beautiful details ;-)
I liked Posh Livings assortment and different brands…even though everything was new produced (which I’m allergic too…I prefer OLD and USED…with history and plenty of charm!). They had my favourite chairs (that can be found in Jardin du Luxembourg in Paris)..simply called Luxembourg chair from the brand Fermob, chairs from Tolix, lamps from Jieldé….and books from Taschen :-)

WHITE - QUINTESSENCE PLAYGROUND
Last weekend I worked in the gallery where I use to work on the weekends (Quintessence Playground 14 rue Paul Bert) but during my stay in Sweden the owner, Ludovic Messager, had turned the black gallery into white…all the walls where painted in white and on one of the walls the definition of white was written in calligraphy with golden letters….. I loved the changes and it felt much better working in a white and light ambiance than the black and dark ;-)

ELLE Décoration N°200
Finally the French ELLE Décoration (N°200) has been released with the reportage about Quintessence Playground, where I work on the week-ends :-) I wrote about it in March that a team came from ELLE Décoration and that I later also took photos on Ludovic Messager (owner of the gallery and interior designer and antiques-dealer) for the reportage. You can find the reportage on the pages 96-101, six pages with photos and information about the gallery. If you live in Paris you should definately come by and visit the gallery @ 3 Rue Paul Bert in Saint-Ouen. Me, I’m working in the gallery @ 14 Rue Paul Bert.

Done with the work for this weekend @ the gallery. During the week we recieved plenty of objects to the gallery where I work, Quintessence Playground (at 14 rue Paul Bert). The owner had re-done most of the decoration inside and I was amazed by the beautiful result and so were the clients who came and visited the gallery during the weekend. Liv Tyler also passed by several times with her son Milo and she found several things :-)

Mr Boney @ Quintessence Playground
Have been working @ Quintessence Playground during the whole weekend. Have had +20 degrees…really beautiful weather!! Anyway, what I was going to say…take a look at the skull in the photo, mr Boney. After have been playing with him for a while, Ludo (who owns Quintessence Playground ) made an amazing creation using it. After a couple of hours I got to see the result and I was really amazed. No photos yet, but perhaps later…

Quintessence Playground
On Monday I was at the gallery where I work (Quintessence Playground). A team from Elle Déco was there doing a photo-shoot for a reportage that they’re going to have in one of their Spring editions. It was exciting to follow how the team worked and I can’t wait to see the photos they took :-)

Working @ Quintessence Playground
For the moment I’m working only on Saturday’s and Sunday’s @ the concept-store Quintessence Playground. Last week we recieved plenty of new objects and filled up our small gallery aswell so from now on I’m working on my own in the small gallery at 14 rue Paul Bert, just in front of our other concept-store. Working two days a week isn’t that much….but those two days in the Flea Market of St-Ouen feels like a week….yesterday it was big drama..can’t go into details…..I thought I was used to it but I never stop getting surprised…it’s like being a part of a soap-opera…

Quintessence Playground
It was such a beautiful weather this morning, the sun was shining and for the first time I didn’t felt cold when I was walking outside :-) Earlier today I was working at the concept-store, Quintessence Playground…until 13h.
We’ve recieved lot’s of new beautiful objects and I’m really looking forward to work there during the weekend :-)

John Varvatos @ Quintessence Playground, February 12th 2011
Last weekend John Varvatos (an American contemporary high fashion menswear designer) from New York came by at Quintessence Playground while I was working. He made a shopping-tour in our store and I also got to meet his wife Joyce Varvatos. I like John Varvatos style, very black and dark colors and his collaboration with All Stars Converse is amazing…love the way they’re designed and touched up to look like they’ve been worn for ages :-)

New kitchen @ Quintessence Playground, photo: Ludovic Messager
Our new kitchen at the concept-store where I work….I love it! Industrial design, very Scandinavian…clean, simple and with practical details. Last week me and the owner chosed some photos taken by Olivier Zahm to put above the kitchen. We started with the photo with Karl Lagerfeld, which for me symbolizes fashion and party. The next one is on a woman laying down next to a pool, she seems to be pretty destroyed after a party…so for me that one sympbolizes the aftermath of hardcore partying. The third one is on pills – things some people take to maintain their hardcore lifestyle. The last photo (my favourite one) skulls!!! That simply symbolizes death….

When I was at Colette this week I saw this super high-tech key… It looks like a key and it is a key..an USB key to be correct. Stores 32 GB if you pay 120 € ;-) It should almost be a mandatory having a USB key in your keyring….you never know when you need extra memory!

Went to Colette with my friend Jo this week. I go there once in a while to get inspiration and to discover new designers :-) Too bad it’s not allowed to take photos inside, can’t share what I saw with you…

"Tron by Betak" @ Quintessence Playground, Paris
This high-tech TRON lightinstallation that is designed by Alexandre de Betak was taken from the Colette window where it had been during two weeks and now it has been installed in one of the windows at the gallery where I work, Quintessence Playground. Alexandre came by today to check out the installation and we will have it for a month so if you want to have a look stop by at Quintessence Playground. The lightinstallation is amazing…..I’ll make a video-clip tomorrow so you can see the cool effects live ;-)
It is really fun to work at the gallery, it’s like a concept store, the largest in Paris with it’s 650 square metres and we have lot’s of International clients. Today we had visitor’s from Elle Interior (Sweden) who wanted to write about the gallery in their next issue, they had been here in September and were amazed by the gallery. It’s really one of a kind and very unique. I’m doing their website and I’ll put a link to it as soon as it’s finished!

MERCI MERCI
Last week it was confirmed that I’m going to work with something really, really fun :-) For now I don’t want to kill the magic so I will keep it as a secret but I’ll let you know more about it later. Anyhow, after the meeting we went for an inspiration tour at the concept stores Colette, merci merci and Bonpoint. At merci merci there was a cool kitchen module with nice details that caught my attention. But something that I fell in love with was the beautiful industrial bed frame…made me wish I had those € 1290.00 that was written on the price tag, but it’s not forbidden to dream, is it? ;-) At the French childrenswear’s couture house Bonpoint I was happy not having any children yet, otherwise I can guarantee you I would have left the store with shoppingbags enough to fill up a whole children’s wardrobe!!! With other words, they have so cute and beautiful childrensclothes at Bonpoint :-)
