What happens during the Fashion Week in Paris……stays in Paris
March 5th, 2012 § 0
This is the first time I’m not attending the Fashion Week in Paris for two years and God how many crazy memories do I not have from the Fashion Weeks in Paris? Usually I’m busy 24 hours during the Fashion Weeks, on daytime I try to cover up most of the shows, taking streetstyle photos outside and catwalk photos inside….later in the afternoon I try to upload my photos, on my blog and send it to magazines and websites I collaborate with. After the work it’s dinner time and the best part of it all…fashion parties all over the city!!! You don’t want to miss any of them…and this is the time for party hoppin’ :-) The great parties are held during the Fashion Weeks and this is also the time were you do extremly well networking with people from all around the world that has one thing incommon – a passion for fashion and party ;-)
As they say “the more the merrier”…the fashion week parties are more fun if you bring a partner in crime with you… I’ll never forget how much fun I had with my friend Linda Romanazzi (aka the Queen of Champagne) and my friend Jo (aka the Dancing Queen) during the Men’s fashion week in Paris last year. We started pretty early with cocktail at Roland Mourets cocktail evening and fashion show…then we went for some cocktails at the Murano KUBE Hotel…before we set of to the hotel Shangri-La where the GQ Magazine were having a private party where they had the election of the Man of the Year. It was like going to a party with only eye-candies if you know what I mean….fun, fun and Champagne Piper Heidsieck Brut was served accompanied by delicious chocolate and just imagine the combination of that and the rest…..And then…it was not over…there is always an after-party so we went straight to le Baron were we partied until 5-6 in the morning. Had to go home and have some beauty sleep before I had to wake up around 9 to go to the fashion shows…You see, not much sleep was taken during the Fashion Weeks ;-) Another great party I went to was the Fendi party at VIP Room. The party was crowded with top supermodels, Duran Duran were playing live and Karl Lagerfeld and Lou Doillon were some of the guests who were there. One hour past midnight we set off to Montana were we were invited to Maison Michel‘s party where Laetitia Crahay had an opening ceremony for a special collection. Montana was crowded and it was nearly impossible to make through to the dance floor downstairs….people were dancing all over the place..on tables, the couches you name it. Olivier Zahm from Purple Magazine was there among the guests and so were Lou Doillon, Ania Rubik, James Goldstein…and then I met the Swedish designer and founder of J.Lindeberg, Johan Lindeberg straight from NY. Many people are coming from NY during the Fashion Week in Paris and that’s really fun and I get to meet some of my friends from NY during those occasions and they are really ready to party non-stop. I will never forget my friend and a designer from NY who brought is luggage to Baron where we were going to party until 5-6 in the morning…then he left straight to the airport back to the States. You see…no time for sleep ;-)
Me and my friend Vanessa had a great time at Dsquareds flagship store opening party and their after part at Le Ritz..Dean and Dan Caten (the founders of the brand) throw an excellent party that you can read more about here. My friend Thierry Lasry (a French sunglass designer) was also a great fashion week party organizer…his birthday/end of fashion week party at Schmuck was great and so was the party he held at L’Arc last year. What can I say? The people in Paris really knows how to party and there is no ending…only new beginnings :-) The most fun and crazy parts I will keep for myself and between me and my partner in crimes…nothing I can share with you on my blog..unfortunately…but lets say that the best, funny and crazy memories I have from my life in Paris are from the Fashion Weeks…where anything…really anything can happen. And when you think it can’t get better and you won’t have an experience such as the one you’ve just had…well, get prepared for some new adventures because it just gets better and better ;-)
My Fashion Week outfit…run high, run wild…
March 3rd, 2012 § 1
This is the outfit I would wear for the Fashion Week in Paris right now. As you already know I’m totally sold out on black. Black for me is always the new black and will always be…and I love soft leather next to my skin so I would invest in Balmain‘s edgy super sleek black leather motorcross pants (they are so God damn sexy!), on my heels I would wear Burberry Prorsum‘s black quilted leather sandals… I would match my outfit with a silver top from Ralph Lauren Collection’s hit SS12 runway – a masterclass in effortless glamour…to cover up I would wear Rick Owens washed leather and ribbed wool jacket
…Bottega Veneta‘s oxidized silver earrings with glistening green cubic zirconia stones would dingle in my ears and in my hand I would have Yves Saint Laurent‘s patent leather clutch.
Leather skinny motocross pants – Balmain
Quilted leather sandals – Burberry
Washed-leather and ribbed wool jacket – Rick Owens
Metallic washed-leather top-Ralph Lauren Collection
Oxidized-silver cubic zirconia earrings – Bottega Veneta
Belle Du Jour patent-leather clutch- Yves Saint Laurent

FASHION WEEK IN PARIS 2012 – guide
February 29th, 2012 § 0
The FASHION WEEK started in Paris yesterday and I’ve recieved some invitations to shows and my mailbox has been bombed with invitations to fashion week parties….. You all know how devoted I’ve been to the Fashion Weeks in Paris…what a pity I’m not there this time. Due to some travelling I won’t be attending this time. BUT I’ve done a guide where I share my hot spots for the Fashion Week in Paris.
Before the Fashion Week begins you need to get a hold on the bible – the Fashion Week agenda. There you will have all the schedules for all the fashionshows that are taken place during the week. Also there is information about all the hype fahion parties!
I usually go to the fashion shows a bit earlier, just so that I have the time to take streetstyle photos on the people who are invited to the shows. People are coming from all around the world and it’s a fashion show in itself watching how these people are dresssed. On the photo below you see me and James Goldstein, also a devoted fashion week fan ;-)
How to run from one fashion show to another? Forget about the metro or taxis….take a bike ;-) This Ducati Sport 1000 never let me down ;-)
After been running from one fashionshow to another during a whole day you need a break, the best place is to go to Le Bar VOGUE that is held at the hotel Crillon. Have a nice cocktail and rest your legs, you need a well deserved break ;-)
Dinner, dinner – we all need to eat :-) During the fashionweeks I usually went to L’Avenue for dinner. Delicious food and the restaurant is situated in the golden V. Great position to continue and go to the fashion parties later that are all taken place in that area or close to it….
The fashion parties are a great place to do networking – you will meet people from all over the world that are into fashion, usually there is an open bar, a super DJ is always invited to play great tracks and you will definately have FUN! On the first photo below you see my friend Linda Romanazzi ( Swedish DJ in Paris), me and my friend Thierry Lasry ( French sunglass designer) at the private nightclub Baron on a Lolita Lempicka party that was held during the fashion week in Paris 2011. On the next photo below you see Thierry Lasry, me and Ludovic Messager on the Thierry Lasry & Quintessence Playground party at L’Arc in Paris 2011.
The fashion week parties are usually until 23h or midnight…after that I usually went straight to Montana for some wild after party and after Montana there was always an after-after party at Baron…even wilder.
Those are my favourite hot spots during the fashion weeks in Paris….if you are there – enjoy to the fullest! Me, I’m just charging my batteries for the later fashion weeks ;-)
The Fashion Week agenda – get it where you get your press badget

Oh Jimmy, take me where you would go :-) These Falcon sandals from Jimmy Choo are so God damn sexy! I found them at Jimmy Choo‘s store and they’re from their latest collection. I tried them on it was pure love…they’re Swarovski crystal-encrusted with double ankle straps….and I just love the way the straps forms around my ankle and foot. Je les adore!

A sneak peak on Zadig & Voltaire’s vitrina in Paris. My favourites are the boots to the left and the tops to the right (grey and nude).
Thierry Lasry & Quintessence Playground party @ L’ARC part 1
November 21st, 2011 § 0
On October 4th, my friend Thierry Lasry (sunglass designer) and Ludovic Messager (owner of Quintessence Playground) arranged a party during the fashion week in Paris at the nightclub L’ARC. Ludovic Messager decorated the nightclub for the party and it became a success. Here are some photos from the evening:

Some more photos that I took during the last fashion week in Paris (Sept-Oct 2011), some nice details I caught with my camera:
La Maison Dior – Les journées particulières
November 14th, 2011 § 0
During the weekend October 15-16th LVMH opened up some of their fashion houses for the public and arranged several workshops etc. I went to Maison Dior located at 30 Avenue Montaigne. I had to stay in the line for 3 hours before I could enter….the line was very long! I was a bit disapointed that it was strictly forbidden to take photos inside, but still it was worth the waiting.
I have been at the Dior boutique that is on the main floor, but going upstairs has been forbidden for customers but during the Journées Particulières I was finally permitted to go further in Maison Dior and have a closer look at the prestigious white and pearl gray Parisian salons where Marlene Dietrich, Rita Hayworth, Jean Cocteau, the young Richard Avedon and many others were invited to see Christian Dior‘s very first collection on February 12, 1947. So you can imagine how magical it felt for me, walking on those steps in the famous staircase where the models have been showing his collection. The walls were covered with photos with different celebrities wearing Dior’s creatures….
While upstairs they had prepaired with different stations for the men’s and women’s Haute Couture workshops to show us some of the procedures behind the work. They showed their magic touch in the presence of master embroiderers, the jewelry workers demonstrated how to set stones in a ring, the leather workshop showed us how they carefully assembled a Lady Dior bag. The tailors revealed the secrets of how to make a tuxedo á la Dior. Shoemakers brought life to a Miss Dior (it was really fascinating to see since I love high heels) and the watchmakers exposed the inner workings of the new Dior VIII.
It was really mindblowing to have a glimpse of the work, I was amazed and I wish I could have shared some photos with you and it was too bad it was forbidden to take photos. When I left Maison Dior I recieved a goodie-bag with a beautiful miniature of the fragrance J’adore :-)
Solli outfit
November 10th, 2011 § 0
Another one of my outfits during the latest fashion week in Paris (Oct 2011), it was my most photographed outfit during the fashion week. Photographers from L’Officiel, ELLE (Spain), ELLE (UK), GLAMOUR (France) and some Japanese magazines that I don’t remember the names of took photos on me during that day. I was wearing the following:
- dress: Ted Baker
- sunglasses: Thierry Lasry
- bag: Zadig & Voltaire
- sandals: Zara
- nailpolish: OPI Lincoln Park After Dark
- haircolor (don’t remember the haircolor, but ask my hairdresser in Paris, Christophe – he is simply the best!)
Can you handle it?
November 6th, 2011 § 0
It was a nightmare running around with my heavy bag during the fashion week in Paris….I only had my Canon G12 camera in it but that was enough to make it a total weight of 7 kg…..had pain in my back every night. Why are there not any good professinal cameras that are not that heavy?! And why do they always have to use thick leather for the leather bags?! The bags are going to be filled up and they’re not going to be used empty…mine is heavy even when it’s empty. See no other alternative that I need to pump up my arms for the next fashion week so that I can handle it ;-)
Jardin des Tuileries
November 5th, 2011 § 2
I always do a selection before I go out shooting streetstyle photos during the fashion week in Paris. As soon as the fashion show schedules are official I check up where they all take place and then I start to do my own schedule for the photo-shootings. The location where I ALWAYS go to is Jardin des Tuileries, when the fashion shows takes place there (Espace Ephémère) Im always there 30 minutes before the show begins so I can take street-style photos on the guests arriving to the shows. Why Jardin des Tuileries? Because its the best shooting spot! White ground, green trees and babyblue sky…couldn’t find a better place. Here you can see some of my street style photos taken in Jardin des Tuileries: Outside Lanvin ss12 fashionshow, outside Guy Laroche SS12 fashionshow, outside Viktor & Rolf fashionshow and outside Christian Dior
For the street style photos its the top location…but for the shoes its a nightmare! See the photo below and you’ll understand ;-)
Those shoes….
