Asparagus
I love aspargus! I bought some yesterday…boiled them for a couple of minutes and then topped them with grated lemon peel, grated parmesan cheese..and served them with egg, salmon and mashed avocado with red onion…. The asparagus were delicious but still not comparable to the ones I was served at my favourite Italian restaurant in Paris, Oenosteria, or Mama shelter in Paris.

Dinner @ Mama Shelter
I often go to the hotel Mama Shelter here in Paris for dinner in their restaurant. Especially on Sunday’s it has become a habit. It’s often very packed and crowded so it’s always good to reserve a table earlier. For dinner I usually order the salmon with pickled radish as a starter. It’s simply outstanding! I love the combination of the smooth avacado with the marinated salmon :-) This time I also had salmon as a main course with potatoes and as dessert I had pineapple with caramel fudge sauce. The coctail I had before the dinner is called the Notorious B.I.G and contains green apple purée, freshly squeezed lemon, cane sugar, sparkling water, very fresh!

Having desserts @ Mama Shelter
Mama knows how to make delicious desserts at Mama Shelter ;-) Last week when I was there with a friend I had a heavy dessert that consisted of chocolate ice cream, chocolate sauce and lots of whipped cream! And my friend had vanilla ice cream with hot fudge….yummie!

Lunch @ Mama Shelter
The pizzas at Mama Shelter in Paris are totally delicious! Last time I was there I had a pizza with ruccola, mushrooms, parmesan cheese and tomatoes. Had Italian spring-water à la Pellegrino straight from Italy and some freshly baked bread with lots of butter on top….wish I can get even closer to Italy than just an Italian lunch…but who knows what this summer brings? ;-)
