Who is Solli?

Sollis blog
Solli is a 30 years old woman who recently moved back to Sweden after two years in the beautiful and charming city Paris. She is currently working at the head office of an International company situated in Copenhagen, Denmark, where she is working as an Online Marketing Coordinator. She was born and raised in Lund (south of Sweden) and moved to Stockholm at the age of 19 to study Engineering at the Royal Institute of Technology. After receiving her Bachelor of Science Degree (in Mechatronics & Industrial IT Industrial Economics ) she was headhunted for a position at the Nordic region’s leading analysis- and research company REGI where she worked for 3 1 /2 years as a Project and Production Manager.

At a very young age she had everything she once had dreamt of, she was surrounded by wonderful friends, had a great job and position and owned a beautiful apartment in the heart of Stockholm. … But still she was not enjoying her life to the fullest, she wanted to approach new challenges so she decided to spread her wings and she ended up in Paris, in a typical Parisian apartment in the charming arrondissement St Germain.

She believes in the Law of Attraction and practices bikram yoga. Ice cream from the Italian gelato bar GROM and Pain au raisins from PAULS were some of her every day treats in Paris. The old history, the beautiful architecture, the charming quartiers, the cute couples in amour she saw whereever she turned her head, the lovable French cuisine and her addiction to French pastries made her HIGH ON LIFE in Paris .

During her four first months in Paris she studied French at La Sorbonne and worked at the same time at Ladurée to practise her French. Later in 2010 she was offered a position at the concept-store Quintessence Playground located in the marché aux Puces in St-Ouen, a showroom filled up with antiques, industrial furnitures and other curiosites. She worked there as a Sales & PR Manager (2010-2012) and you can read more about her work at Quintessence Playground here.

When she was not working and when she was not partying in the private nightclubs Le Montana and Le Baron you could probably see her at Ladurée Bonaparte eating macarons….if not there she was indulging herself with Italian ice-cream at GROM. She could also be spotted between all the big photography books at Taschen ;-) She loved spending time studying her surroundings and go for discovering-tours by her own with her partner-in-love Canon G12 and sometimes she cheated on him with her MacBook Pro sitting at Café le Flore writing on her never-ending novel. Having a glass of rosé with friends at the cozy bistro La Palette was also very typical in her life aswell as dining at the Italian restaurant Oenosteria in Saint Germain. Before she was working at Quintessence Playground, Sundays used to be her special day when she strolled around in the marché aux Puces in St-Ouen. She completely loved to take photos of all the beautiful and unique objects she stumbles over there. When it all became a part of her working place she was totally in love with her job ;-)

Solli has been blogging for over 4 1/2 years at Sollis.se but she has also contributed with a Paris-blog at COSMOPOLITAN. Even though she likes to be personal in her posts she keeps her private-life apart to maintain her integrity. Her lifestyle-blog is written as a diary, to keep her loved ones updated aswell as to inspire her blog readers from all over the world. Enjoy following her journey through life!

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” Mark Twain

If you are new to her blog, then you need to know, she loves to experiment with her haircolor…her natural haircolor is dark blonde, but she like changes and on the photos below you can see what different haircolors you will see her with in this blog. Just so that you won’t be confused ;-)
